Put up a QR code on site for contractors
Print a project QR code so trades can open the contractor portal on their phone with their access code.
Each project has its own QR code. Scanning it opens the contractor portal for that project. Contractors still need their own access code, so the code is safe to put on a wall.
Steps
- Open the project and go to Settings, then People, then Contractors.
- Under Contractor portal access, check Enable contractor portal is on.
- Click Print for a page with the project name, the QR code and the link. Or click Copy Link to send the link.
What happens next
- A contractor who scans the code sees the project name and your studio, then enters their access code.
Good to know
- If the contractor portal is switched off for the project, the QR code shows "Unable to open project".
- A contractor's code only works if they have been added to this project.
- If you see Access token pending, the project's link is not ready yet. Contact support if it does not appear.
