How do phases and timelines work?
You plan in phases on a visual timeline that covers design stages and installs. Budget, margin, tasks, purchase orders and milestones update as the work moves, so project status is current rather than reported.
Can I track time on tasks?
Yes. Start a timer on any task and the hours roll into time tracking and billing, so chargeable time stops depending on anyone remembering to write it down.
How are drawings approved?
Drawing packages are versioned and move through a five-stage approval, and can be shared with contractors from the project itself. The version a trade builds from is the version you signed off.
Is procurement visible inside projects?
Yes. The FF&E schedule, its lead times and its risk against the install date sit inside the project. The scoring itself is explained on the procurement page.
Does the AI help with projects?
Yes. Atelier, the Techstyles assistant, answers questions about any project: what is late, what is unpaid, who is overloaded. Meeting notes turn a recording or transcript into a summary, highlights and action items you accept as tasks, and each morning the daily brief sets out today’s meetings, overdue tasks and how every project is tracking. Nothing is sent or saved until a person approves it.
How is this different from Programa or Design Manager?
Both are built for design studios and both do this stage competently. The differences that decide it are install-date risk scoring on the FF&E schedule, and UK depth: GBP, VAT and a two-way Xero sync.
Is it suitable for a small studio?
Yes. A solo designer gets the whole product; a larger team gets collaboration and role-based permissions. Pricing is per user with no feature tiers, and the free trial runs for 30 days.
Can I speak to a studio already using it?
