Search what your documents and meetings say

Ask a question in plain words and find matching passages from documents, meeting notes, messages, Slack and email.

Search everything looks inside your material, not just at file names. It finds passages by meaning, so "worktop decision" can find a meeting note that says "we agreed on the quartz".

It covers files uploaded to your projects, meeting notes and transcripts, project messages, and Slack and email if your studio has connected them.

Steps

  1. Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows), type "se" and press Enter. This opens Search everything.
  2. Type a question or phrase, for example "What did we decide about the worktop?".
  3. Press Enter or click Search.
  4. Click a result to open the place it came from.

What happens next

  • You see up to 10 passages, each labelled Document, Meeting, Message, Slack or Email.
  • Clicking a result opens the project's documents, meetings or messages, or the email in Inbox. A result with no link, such as a Slack passage, can only be read here.
  • Nothing is changed. No AI writes an answer; you see the passages themselves.

Good to know

  • You need permission to view documents. An admin can change this in Roles & permissions.
  • You only see material from projects you can open.
  • Results marked AI description of an image come from a description of a drawing or image, not from text in the file. Open the source before relying on a figure.
  • New material is added to search as it comes in. A project conversation is added shortly after it goes quiet, so a message from a few minutes ago may not appear yet.
  • Nothing matched means nothing indexed matches. Try fewer words, or the words the document itself would use. The message also suggests asking an administrator about a backfill. Studio admins can't run one, so if older material you expected is missing, email support@techstyles.ai.
  • Search could not run just now means a temporary fault, not an empty result. Try again in a moment.
  • Atelier in Techstyles can search the same material when you ask it what was said or decided. See Techstyles AI.
  • The address keeps your search, so you can share the link. Colleagues see only what they can access.
