Change a project's budget, VAT or currency

The budget drives the spend figures on the Projects page and the overview. VAT settings decide how invoices treat prices.

Before you start

• You need permission to edit projects.

Steps

1. Open the project and click Settings, then Financial.
2. Under Budget & currency, change any of:
   • Total budget
   • Currency
   • VAT / tax rate
   • FF&E (the percentage of the budget for products)
   • Product prices include VAT
3. Click Save changes.

What happens next

• Spend against budget on Projects and the overview uses the new budget.
• If you changed the currency, a bar asks you to reload. Click Reload now so prices on Procurement and Finance show in the new currency.
• With Product prices include VAT on, invoices take the VAT out of each price. With it off, invoices add VAT on top.

Good to know

• Use numbers only. Negative numbers are not accepted, and VAT / tax rate and FF&E can't be more than 100.
• Leave a field blank to clear it.
• New projects take their VAT and FF&E figures from your studio defaults.
