FF&E schedules and procurement
How products move from your library onto a project's schedule, through client approval and purchase orders, to delivery on site.
Every project in Techstyles has an FF&E schedule: the furniture, fixtures and equipment you are specifying, grouped by room. Open a project and select Procurement to see it. From there you track each item from first idea to installed on site, and Techstyles warns you when an item is at risk of missing the installation date.
How an item moves through Techstyles
- Library. Products live in your studio's Library. Add them by hand or clip them from a supplier's website with the Clipper.
- Schedule. Add a library product to a project and room. It becomes an item on the project's schedule, with a quantity and a required-by date.
- Dates and lead times. Give each item a lead time. Techstyles works out the date you must order by to have it on site in time.
- Client approval. Share the schedule with your client. They approve or reject items in their portal, or you record their decision yourself.
- Purchase orders. Raise purchase orders from approved items, then send them to the supplier. If Xero is connected, each purchase order goes to Xero as well.
- Delivery. Record the ETA, tracking number and delivery as each order arrives.
What you'll find on the schedule
- Rooms. Each room shows its item count, a subtotal and, when the room has a budget, how much of it is used.
- Status. Where the item is in your process, from Quoting and Internal review to Ordered, Delivered and Installed.
- Approval. The client's decision: Review, Approved, Rejected or Client to purchase.
- PO. The purchase order number once one is raised, with three dots for created, sent to the supplier and paid.
- Risk. A chip under the product name when an item is Blocked, At risk or being watched.
