Watch, flag or snooze an item
Keep an eye on a tricky item, mark it as blocked or bespoke, or quieten its alerts for a while.
Techstyles flags most problems for you. The Watch tab lets you add what only you know: that an item is bespoke, that something is holding it up, or that you simply want to keep it in view.
Open the Watch tab
Do one of these:
- Hover under the product name and click Watch.
- Click the item's risk chip.
- Open the row's ⋯ menu, choose Details and select Watch.
Watch an item
- Switch on Watch this item.
- Choose a Reason: Long lead time, Bespoke / made to order, Quantity / spec blocker or Other.
The item is added to the Watchlist. If nothing else is wrong with it, it shows a Watching chip with your reason.
Flag an item as blocked or bespoke
Under Flag as, tick one or both:
- Blocked makes the item Blocked. Type what is holding it up in the box, for example "exact quantity needed from the client". Your note becomes the chip's text.
- Bespoke / made to order flags the item At risk with Bespoke, no ETA yet until it has an ETA.
Untick Blocked when the problem is solved. The note is cleared.
Snooze alerts
When you know about a problem and are dealing with it, snooze the item so it stops filling the Watchlist.
- Under Snooze alerts, choose 3 days, 1 week or 2 weeks.
- To end the snooze early, click Clear.
What happens next
- When an item becomes Blocked or At risk, everyone else on the project gets a notification.
- A snoozed item leaves the Watchlist and the Procurement risks panel until the snooze ends. Its chip stays on the row, faded, with "snoozed".
Good to know
- Snoozing hides automatic flags only. An item you are watching always stays on the Watchlist.
- The Activity tab in the same panel lists every change to the item, newest first.
