Set your finance defaults
Choose the currency, VAT and FF&E rates new projects start with, and whether new tasks are billable.
Settings > Finance holds the studio-wide starting points for money and billable time. Changing them doesn't alter projects, invoices or tasks that already exist.
Before you start
- You need access to studio settings. Admins have it by default.
Steps
- Go to Settings > Finance.
- Under Defaults, set Default studio currency, Default tax rate (%) and Default FF&E (%).
- Switch Product prices include VAT on if the prices you enter already include VAT.
- Under New tasks default to, choose Billable or Non-billable.
- Click Save finance settings.
What happens next
- New projects start with the currency, rates and VAT setting.
- New tasks start as billable or non-billable. Anyone creating a task can still change it.
Good to know
- The Time tracking switches on the same page decide who can correct logged time. See Let people edit or delete their own time.
- Bank accounts have their own save buttons. See Add the bank details your invoices show.
- To see how these rates reach an invoice, read Add VAT to invoices: rates, FF&E fees and currency.
