Start phases from a studio template

Templates save you building the same phases and tasks for every job. Your studio's templates are set up in Settings › Studio › Templates.

Before you start

• You need permission to edit projects.
• Your studio needs at least one template.

Steps

1. Open the phases list:
   • When creating a project, go to the Timeline & phases step.
   • On an existing project, open Settings, then Schedule.
2. Click Use "template name" if your studio has one template. If it has several, click From template (in the wizard) or Import from template (in Schedule) and pick one. Each option shows how many phases and tasks it adds.
3. Adjust the new phases' dates and lengths if needed.
4. Click Create project in the wizard, or Save changes in Schedule.

What happens next

• The template's phases are added after any phases you already have. Nothing is replaced.
• The template's tasks are created under each new phase when you save, assigned to you and dated to match the phase.

Good to know

• In the wizard, template phases last two weeks each. In Schedule they last one week each. Both follow on from each other.
• Changing a template later does not change projects that already used it.
