Message your designer
Send your design team a message, photo, file or voice note from the portal.
Messages is a shared conversation with your design team. It keeps everything about your project in one place instead of scattered across email and texts.
Steps
- Open Messages.
- Choose a topic. Most conversations happen in Client.
- Type your message. Type @ to mention someone by name.
- Press Enter, or tap the send button.
Sending more than words
- Attach: add photos or files, up to 20 MB each.
- Record voice: record a voice note, then tap Send voice, or Discard to start again. Your browser asks to use your microphone the first time.
- Share an item: point to one of your pieces, documents or drawings so everyone knows exactly what you mean.
What happens next
- Your design team sees your message in Techstyles straight away.
- When they reply, you get a notification and, if you have not read it yet, an email at the next send time. See Choose which notifications and emails you get.
Good to know
- On a computer, hover over a message to React, Reply, or use More to forward it, or edit or delete your own.
- The bell at the top of a topic mutes it, and Search finds earlier messages in that topic.
- If you see "Messaging is turned off", your studio has not switched messaging on for this project. Contact them by email or phone instead.
