Issue a drawing package to a contractor

Once a package is ready to share, you can issue it to the contractors who need it.

Before you start

• You need to be the project lead, the design lead or a studio admin.
• The package must be Approved or already Issued.
• The issue checklist must be complete, and every review comment on its drawings marked done.
• The contractor must be on the project's Contractors tab.

Steps

1. Open the package.
2. Click Issue to contractor. If it has already been issued, the button reads Issue to more.
3. Pick the contractor.

What happens next

• The package moves to Issued and you see Issued to the contractor's name.
• The contractor can open the package and its drawings in their portal, and ask for revisions there.
• The contractor is not sent a separate message straight away. Let them know in Messages.
• The Access tab lists everyone the package is issued to.

Good to know

• If the button is greyed out, the package shows what is still in the way under Before sharing with the client or contractor:, such as Not approved yet, the checklist count or the number of review comments open. The button is also greyed out if every contractor on the project already has the package.
• Issue again to add more contractors at any time.
