Add or update drawings in a package

Before you start

• You need to be the project lead, the design lead or a studio admin.

Add drawings

1. Open the package and click the Files tab.
2. Click Add drawing files and choose one or more files.

Upload a new version of a drawing

1. Click the drawing to open it, then the Versions tab.
2. Click Upload new version and choose the file.
3. Describe the change in What changed in this version? (optional).
4. Click Upload version.

What happens next

• Adding a drawing to an Approved or Issued package sends it back to Draft for approval again.
• A new version becomes the current drawing. The package stays at its current stage.
• Review comments stay on the version they were made on, and the new version opens clean. Open comments on older versions still stop the package being shared until they are marked done.
• Clients and contractors who already have the package keep access, and see the new drawing or version straight away.

Good to know

• If clients or contractors should not see a drawing until it is approved again, remove their access first. See Remove a client's or contractor's access to a package.
• To download any version, click the download button on it in Versions.
• To read a drawing in the browser, click the eye (View drawing). See Review a drawing and leave comments.
