Add a product to your library

Add a product by hand, with its supplier, prices, images and specification, so the whole studio can use it.

Who can do this: admins and managersUpdated

Products you add to the library can go on any project's schedule. Fill in what you know now and add the rest later.

Steps

  1. Open Library and click Add product.
  2. Enter the Product Name and choose the Currency. These are the only required fields.
  3. Choose the Supplier. Start typing to search your suppliers. If the supplier isn't there yet, click Add "…" to create them. See Add a supplier.
  4. Choose a Product Type, so the product appears under the right category.
  5. Add the Trade Price and Regular Price.
  6. Add images: drag them onto Product images, or click Drag & drop or click to upload. Hover over an image and click the star to make it the main image.
  7. Add any specification: measurements, materials, dimensions, weight, variations such as colour and finish, and furniture details.
  8. Click Save Product.

What happens next

  • The product appears at the top of the library.

Good to know

  • Prices. The schedule uses the trade price. If there is no trade price, it uses the regular price. A supplier with a standing trade discount shows a pill such as 10% off when you pick them, and that discount is offered when you add the product to a project.
  • Currency. Pick the currency the supplier charges in. Purchase orders for this product are raised in that currency.
  • Images. PNG, JPG, GIF or WEBP, up to 20 MB each and up to 5 at a time. Images count towards your studio's storage.
  • Product URL. Add the supplier's web page so colleagues can open it with Website in the product's details.
  • Clicking outside the form doesn't close it. Use Cancel.
  • To save a product from a supplier's website without retyping it, use the Clipper. See Clip products from supplier websites.
