Update several items at once
Select items on the schedule and change their status, sample state, required-by date, lead time or ETA in one go.
When the same change applies to many items, such as a supplier confirming one delivery date for a whole order, select them and change them together.
Steps
- Open the project and select Procurement.
- Tick the box at the start of each row you want. Hover over a row to see its box. To select everything, use the box in the header.
- A bar appears at the bottom showing N items selected. Click Actions.
- Choose what to change:
- Change status, then the status.
- Change sample status, then Requested, Received or Submitted.
- Update required-by date, pick a date, then click Update.
- Change lead time, type the weeks, then click Update.
- Set ETA, pick a date, then click Set ETA.
What happens next
- Each item is updated as if you had changed it on its own row, including risk notifications and any message to a client who has approved the item.
- A message confirms the change, for example Lead time updated.
- The selection clears.
Setting an ETA on a mixed selection
Set ETA only changes items whose status is Ordered. If your selection includes other items, the dialog tells you how many will be left as they are, for example "2 of the 5 selected items are not ordered and will be ignored". If none of the selected items is ordered, Set ETA shows Only for ordered items and can't be chosen.
Good to know
- The client's approval can't be changed in bulk. Change it on each row.
- Pick a required-by date inside the project's dates. A date outside them flags the items At risk.
- To clear your selection without changing anything, click Clear selection.
- The same bar has Move to room, Share to Contractor, Archive and Remove selected. See Move, copy, archive or remove items.
