Set the project lead and design lead
Give two people on the team lead roles, which control drawing approvals and the Monday project report.
Each project can have a project lead and a design lead. You choose them when you create the project, and you can change them at any time.
Before you start
- You need permission to edit projects.
- The person must already be on the project team.
Steps
- Open the project and click Settings, then People.
- Choose Team.
- Click the chevron next to a team member (Set role).
- Choose Make project lead or Make design lead. To take a role away, choose Remove as project lead or Remove as design lead.
- Click Save changes.
What the roles do
| Project lead | Design lead | |
|---|---|---|
| Create, edit and submit drawing packages | Yes | Yes |
| Tick the issue checklist and mark review comments done | Yes | Yes |
| Approve a package at Lead review | Yes | No |
| Issue packages to contractors and send them to the client | Yes | Yes |
| Receive the Monday project report email | Yes | No |
| See the project and all its tasks | Yes | Yes |
Studio admins can do everything in this table on any project.
Good to know
- In the new project wizard the two leads must be different people. In Settings you can give both roles to one person.
- If a project has no project lead, only studio admins can approve its drawings at Lead review.
- Removing a lead from the team does not take away their lead role. Use Remove as project lead or Remove as design lead first.
