Set procurement risk thresholds
Choose how early items are flagged to order, the safety buffer before install, and when approved items count as forgotten.
These four numbers decide when procurement items are flagged as needing an order, overdue or at risk, across every project in the studio.
Before you start
- You need to be a studio admin to save these settings.
Steps
- Go to Settings > Procurement.
- Under Risk thresholds, set:
- Long-lead threshold (weeks): items with a lead time this long or longer get a "Long lead" label when they are at risk. Default 4.
- Order buffer (weeks): a safety margin before the install date when working out the order-by date. Default 1.
- Order nudge window (days): how many days before its order-by date an item is flagged to order. After that date it shows as overdue. Default 10.
- Approved-but-not-ordered (days): how long an item the client approved can wait before it is flagged as not ordered. Default 2.
- Click Save procurement settings.
What happens next
- Risk flags, order-by dates and the procurement risk panels use the new numbers straight away, on every project.
Good to know
- The order-by date is worked out as: date needed on site − lead time − order buffer.
- Use whole numbers. Long-lead threshold and Order nudge window need to be at least 1; a 0 there is treated as the default.
- These settings apply to the whole studio. There is no per-project version.
