Find where capacity breaks
Read the findings that flag overloaded people, hiring needs and clashes, and check the assumptions behind them.
Where it breaks lists the problems in the next 26 weeks, most serious first, so you can act before a crunch arrives.
Steps
- On Capacity, read Where it breaks. Each finding shows how serious it is (Critical, High, Medium, Low or To tidy), what is wrong, its peak week and a suggestion.
- Click the chevron (Show the working) to see the detail. For a hiring finding this includes Role, Size, Offer by, Earliest start, Takes over and Relieves.
- Click Open this week or Go to this week to jump to the cell.
- For a pipeline project with no clean start, click Try the best week to open a what-if.
- Click Show all to see every finding, and Show fewer to fold them away.
What it looks for
- Someone over their time across the coming weeks.
- A hiring signal: a run of four or more weeks over, with a suggested role.
- Trips and installs to check, or that clash with other work.
- A procurement crunch or a technical bottleneck.
- A pipeline project with no clean week to start.
Check the assumptions
Assumptions to check sits beside the findings. It lists who works part-time or is left out, how many load rules apply, stage lengths used for phases without dates, closures, and any gaps such as phases that match no stage or projects without a design lead. Each item links to the setting that fixes it.
Good to know
- "No one is over capacity" means every week in the next 26 is at or under each person's time.
- Admins also see Ask Atelier, which opens Atelier in Techstyles to talk through a finding.
- The 26-week window is set by Techstyles and can't be changed from the studio.
