Ask Atelier in Techstyles a question

In Ask mode, Atelier in Techstyles answers questions and can't change anything. It's the default for every new chat.

Before you start

• Only studio admins can use it. Managers and members don't see the tile, and the keyboard shortcut does nothing for them.

Steps

1. Click the Techstyles AI tile in the top bar, next to the bell and timer, to open the full chat. Or press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) on any page to open it in a side panel.
2. Check that Ask is selected under the message box.
3. Type your question, for example "Which procurement items are at risk on Belgravia Townhouse?", or click a quick-start card such as What's overdue this month?.
4. Press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.

What happens next

• While it works, it names each thing it is looking up. When it's done, this collapses to "Thought for 4.2s" (or similar).
• The answer appears with tables or cards where they help, the sources it used, and up to three follow-up questions you can click.
• Your first question becomes the chat's title.

Shortcuts

Type / at the start of the message box for shortcuts such as Summarise, Risk, Who is free, Lead times and Price history. A shortcut starts the sentence for you. Create and Procurement also switch the chat to Agent.

Good to know

• To stop an answer, press Esc or click the stop button (Stop generating).
• In the side panel, click Open in full to carry the conversation to the full page.
• You can send up to 30 messages an hour. Your studio also has a daily limit. When it's reached you see "This studio has reached its Atelier limit for today. It resets at midnight."
• Each answer uses your studio's AI credits. See If your studio runs out of AI credits.
• Techstyles AI can make mistakes. Check important figures in the app.
