Set up your studio
The short setup you see once your studio exists: your role, logo and your first invitations.
The first time you open a new studio, Techstyles walks you through a few short steps. It takes about two minutes, and you can change everything later in Settings.
Steps
- Your Role: under What's your role?, pick Studio Owner, Principal Designer, Project Manager or Associate Designer, then click Continue. This becomes your job title.
- Branding: click Click to upload logo and choose a PNG or JPG under 2 MB, then click Upload & Continue. No logo yet? Click Skip for now.
- Invite Team: enter a colleague's email and choose Admin, Manager or Member. Click Add another for more rows, up to five. Then click Send invites & finish, or Skip for now.
- Wait a few seconds on You're all set. You land on Home.
What happens next
- Your studio is ready, with three starter project templates you can edit in Settings > Templates.
- Each person you invited gets an email with a link to join. They appear in Settings > Team as Invited until they accept.
- Setup is marked complete. You are not asked again.
- Carry on with the Get set up checklist on Home, then create your first project.
Good to know
- You name your studio when you choose a plan or accept an invitation to set it up, so setup doesn't ask for its details. Add the address and contact details in Settings > General. They appear on proposals, invoices and client emails.
- Back takes you to the previous step, except on the first one.
- If the logo upload fails, you still move on. Add it later in Settings > General.
- If an invitation could not be confirmed, it stays on screen. Check Settings > Team before you send it again, so you do not invite someone twice.
- Every invitation takes a seat while it is waiting.
- Setup can't be run again. Everything it asks for can be changed in Settings.
