Change whether a session is billable
Mark one logged time session as billable or non-billable, to fix a mistake, when your studio allows it.
Each session carries its own billable flag, so one session can be written off on a billable task.
Before you start
- This is off unless a studio admin has switched on Let people change billable on their own time. Admins can always do it.
- You can only change your own sessions.
Steps
- Open Time Tracking and click the entry.
- On the session, click the pencil (Edit session). If the timer is running, pause it first.
- Switch Billable on or off.
- Click Save.
What happens next
- The session shows Billable or Non-billable, and "Edited by" with your name and the date.
- People who can open phase and team reports see an edit icon on the rows these sessions fall under. Hovering it shows who changed what.
Good to know
- Changing a session does not change the task's own Billable setting. Only managers and admins can change that, on the task.
- New sessions take the task's setting when they start.
- If your studio allows editing times as well, Start and End appear in the same form.
